Sticking with the theme.....

So, last week I posted about metallics. They are everywhere at the moment and I know it is the Christmas season so everything is expected to glisten but this is just crazy! It's a sequins and glitter overload in the shops at the moment! You can certainly tell it's party season.. So, this weekend I embraced this current trend going with this black and gold sequinned 'baroque' style bodycon dress from Topshop. Not only was it on trend but it was also the perfect outfit for a visit to G-A-Y which is where I was headed! The boys there love a bit of sparkle! And, infact, as I walked in one of them grabbed me and said, 'omg! your dress is fabulous!' and so was the night!

Recent purchases

I have been working just behind Selfridges for the past two weeks at SME London, the events company who organise London Fashion Weekend so the temptation to shop til i drop has never been more intense. However, the budget is tight so I have just made a few new additions to la wardrobe- these burgundy jeans I love. This colours really 'in' at the moment with lots of 'celebs' being pictured choosing these wine, claret, burgunday, whatever you'd like to call them, tones. I also bought this black jumper from topshop as a winter warmer and bloody hell, does it do what it says on the tin! Wished I had worn something underneath it when I got to the office! I also bought this leopard print playsuit from topshop to wear with tights, black ankle boots and a leather jacket. I'd wanted it for a while and just decided to splash out... :)

Taken a shine to it..

Metallics have taken over recently! Everything sparkles and golds, silvers and sequins are dominating the shops. Personally I love it- It's very Xmas season appropriate as it reminds us of the tinsel and ball balls to come! Embrace this trend I say and put some sparkle into your wardrobe!

If the shoe fits....

A new discovery I have made lately is a great website to buy gorgeous shoes from. It's called missguided.co.uk. I have blogged about this website before for its clothes but have realised it also has some absolutely beautiful shoes at bargain prices. From boots to wedges to platform heels for a Saturday night out, this is a great find and the average price of a pair is about £30! :)
