New hair!

I've loved dip-dying ever since celebrities like Drew Barrymore, Alexa Chung and Ferne Cotton started doing it but I've always been a bit hesitant to try it... not anymore! Tomorrow I'm going in to Basecuts on the Portobello road to get this Khloe Kardashian dip dye look. I'm not going to go too light as I like my hair dark so I'm just going to go from dark brown at the roots to slightly lighter brown in the mid sections and maybe ever so slightly lighter at the ends! Fingers crossed!

This is what my hair looks like now....

What I bought this week..

These are my purchases from last week- I did some extra work for cash so I had a little extra going spare and decided to buy these leather ankle boots from River Island which I had wanted since I saw them weeks ago.. I also bought these cute red polka dot shorts from Topshop as I thought they would look great in the winter with the aran cable knit jumper i bought from topshop last week and tights, boots and maybe a leather jacket. I also got this sweet polka dot tie- up top from topshop as it looks cool with my maxi skirts. I wore it on Sunday with a black maxi skirt, wedges and a leather jacket.

I saw this beautiful feather skirt this morning on topshop.com and fell in love! Now just need to look for some things to go with it... outfit watch!

Velvet beauty..

Loving this new dress from topshop... and it's so cheap! That's going to be my next purchase for my next night out!.. which won't be until the weekend after next as I'm on a much needed 2 week detox! With a big, gold statement necklace I think these would be gorrrrgeous!.....

I like it in red but they've also got it in blue.......

And it's only £28!

winter coat lust-have

I always find it really difficult to find a winter coat that I like but this one from Topshop has really caught my eye. I like the fact its got furr but only on the sleeve ends and round the collar and the material is really classic and timeless so I can imagine it lasting a long time.

Want this!

I love painting my nails a few times a week as a treat WHEN i have the time- life is pretty busy atm with my bar job and then hunting for a real job aswell. At the moment my nails are BRIGHT yellow by Barry M. However, I've just spotted this deep dark red shade on topshop online and this is definitely going to be next nail colour purchase!

Another Autumn/Winter outfit

Hey guys! I've had so many requests for outfit ideas for A/W that I thought I'd just do them as they come to me. Here's one I think would be great- It's quite a girly look, perfect for shopping with girls etc. Hope you like!

Obviously in Autumn/winter you would add tights to go with these gorgeous River Island Chelsea boots...

And a bag to accessorize....

WHOLE OUTFIT- RIVER ISLAND

First A/W Winter purchase of 2011..

Just made my first A/W purchase of this year and it had to be a classic winter must- have- the topshop aran cable knit cream jumper. This is so versatile- you can wear it with jeans, shorts, on top of a dress or with skirts- mini, midi or maxi so it was a must buy item for this A/W.. and must say, just worn it to the cinema on this cold and miserable evening and it kept me toasty and warm so that's always a bonus!

A/W Must-Haves..

I'm actually pretty excited to start buying up my new A/W wardrobe!- Ok, I need the money first but it will come, I'll just have to buy it in bits. Winters in London can be pretty miserable so a comfortable, stylish and practical A/W wardrobe is essential! Here are some of the bits I have spotted already that I would love to add to mine!...

Cute outfit no. 1

felt like putting together a cute outfit to inspire me to earn the money to buy it! haha. Plus I just saw them individually and thought they would go really well together. Both are from River Island.

Annie Haak Sterling Silver jewellery

With so many companies doing premium jewellery now like Pandora, Links and Thomas Sabo, you'd think there was surely no room for another on the market, but one that I have spotted and personally love, is Annie Haak designs. Her jewellery is simple Sterling silver but more feminine than many of the Links designs etc. Like the others, there are many gift designs such as personalised Initial bracelets and necklaces but there are also loads of pretty, feminine designs such as butterflies, dragonflies, birds and hearts. This is an addition to a crowded market but, in my opinion, a great one!

more A/W outfits

another outfit to inspire your A/W wardrobes! I'm feeling all creative tonight and keep spotting, as I trawl through the high street online stores, pieces to go together to make fab A/W outfits... I'll probably keep going until I get too sleepy so look forward to a few of these outfit posts! Add some black tights to this and voila! You've got a trendy A/W look!

Colour-Block dresses

colour-blocking has taken over the highstreet this season and it's a really fun trend to wear on a night out! The pop of colour makes you stand out in a dark club and shows that you are not afraid to be center of attention. These three body-con, colour-block dresses top my list for a great way to pull off this fun trend off on a night out!

My perfect Autumn/Winter outfit

I know it's a bit early to be thinking about an Autumn/Winter outfit but, with the weather the way it has been recently, I've been looking around for some A/W pieces to keep me warm but stylish this year! I saw these items and put them all together in my head to make, what I think is my perfect A/W outfit.

What I wore out this weekend...

This weekend I celebrated my 22nd birthday (It was actually on monday but what can you do on a Monday?!) with a few of my freinds from school and Uni. We went out for a lovely meal at this little authentic Italian place opposite Shepherd's bush green called Al forno and then moved on to The Gate on notting hill gate which is a great bar. Had quite a lot to drink there and a really fun night. But anyway, onto the important matter for a fashion blog: what I wore. I chose to wear this simple black bodycon dress from topshop (the back isnt quite so simple as you'll see) but because it was so plain I decided to pair it with this gorgeous statement necklace- also from topshop. I loved the look and felt comfortable but I would never have worn the dress with nothing to make it stand out. The necklace was the perfect accompliment to jazz up a dress that would have been too dull for me otherwise.

What I bought this week..

This week I went to stables market as I said in my earlier post.. There's a gorgeous shop there right in the center of the market that do loads of cool and beautiful stuff. I got this vintage inspired, pale, pink pleated midi skirt there as I just couldn't walk out the shop without it. It's so feminine and pretty. I also bought some leopard print boots this week in Peacocks of all places! I never go in there but there's one in my new local shopping center in Shepherd's bush- West 12 and I saw them and just thought they would spice up a dull outfit and they were cheap as chips! I also bought this leather skirt this week from H'n'M. I think this is really cool- It would go so well with flirty feminine blouses etc and would give them an edge or it could go with a full on rock chick look with a leopard print T and loads of necklaces or something. I think it's great- I wore it to my new! magazine interview this week with a bright pink sheer blouse, tights and ankle boots and it gave the whole outfit an edge rather than just being a pretty girly outfit with the pink blouse and a feminine skirt to go with it. Boring!

Stables Market, Camden

Just thought I would write a post about one of my favourite fashion destinations in London, Stables Market. I've been going there a few years now and I could still walk around for hours. There's so much to see! From a fashion point of view, it's the place to see all the different types of fashion come together in one place. Stables is full of fashion variety- you've got the punk rock fashions, the goth, old school vintage, contemporary vintage and then beautiful contemporary clothes- which you will find to be the same quality (if not, better) as the highstreet but for, on average, about £10 pounds cheaper. It's also just a great and exciting day out. Not only do you see so many different kinds of people and fashion, but it has so many cool trinkets- old style posters, home-made jewellery, vintage furnishings, antiques etc etc! And the food! wow! There are food stalls all around the market where you can have chinese, indian, thai, turkish or Italian food! But there is also a specialised food market just outside the main market right by Camden lock and here you can literally have any kind of food you want including the ones mentioned previously and Spanish, turkish and Polish!- basically anything you want! I would reccomend this market if you are looking for some beautiful vintage or vintage inspired contemporary pieces and just for a fab day out! If you haven't been yet- you HAVE to go!

What I'm wearing today...

So today I may have an interview in the fashion department at new! magazine, (depending on whether they got my e-mail reply in time as I couldn't get back to them til after my shift at the pub in Kensington I work at), so I've made a bit of an effort today. My gorgeous new leopard print maxi skirt is from Yayer.co.uk and I'm literally in love with it! My big turquoise ring is from Forever 21 as is my key/clock necklace which actually works and tells the time! My plain black vest is just one of those topshop 2 for £10 ones and my black belt is old from topshop too. Have a good day everyone!

What I bought this week..

This is what I bought last week but I hadn't taken the pictures before the weekend. I got this gorgeous kind of midi/maxi floral skirt in Miss Selfridge and wore it out this weekend. It's very floaty and girly and much prettier in real life than in this picture but hey. I also bought this H'n'M dress for the bargain price of £15 which is very smart and can translate from summer to winter as you can wear it with wedges and sunnies in the summer and then tights and little heeled boots or cute flats and a jacket during the winter. I also got, with money my mum gave me for my birthday, that Zara blazer which I posted about earlier in the week! It's stunning!
